Ponette as Ruth Bader Ginsburg… Getting Close!
Yesterday I finally stitched up Ponette’s gown! It took about 2 hours since I kind of miscalculated the size of the pieces so I had to remeasure and resew part of it… but it came out looking pretty good. I still have to take it in a little bit more around the neck (because cats have no shoulders, lol) so it slides down a bit too far around her neck, but the overall length and the sleeves are perfect.
She doesn’t mind having it on either, I put it on her for a fitting and she didn’t flinch at all, just sat there. I’m planning on having her big photoshoot this week, just have to pick up a few more things.
So stay tuned, I’m so excited to get this first look done, it will be such a milestone for the next things to come. My list of potential people is also growing, so I can see this project lasting a very long time. =^..^=
